Liver impairment: They are trying to determine how much good liver tissue is there. We can do this by which parts take up contrast and how long they "hold" it for.

Just had an mri with and without contrast liver cyst nothing else. Ultrasound said slightly increased hepatic echogenicity possible early steatosis why didnt mri pick this up? Can mri miss liver cirrhosis or fatty liver? Please help me Im anxious?
My ultrasound stated slightly increased hepatic echogenicity my mri found a cyst on left liver lobe. Why didnt mri see fatty liver?? Is it true increased hepatic echogenicity is linked to fatty liver hepatitis and cirrhosis?
Concern for husband: long hx of alcohol use (24 beers/week x 25 years), now labs show AST of 51 and ALT of 48. Ultrasound showed gallstones but also a 6 cm mass in liver and coarse echotexture of liver. Are we facing cirrhosis? MRI ordered?
Incidental 1.5 CM liver lesion found on us & MRI (not on ct) radiologist favors benign dx; however, gastro dr now wants liver-spleen scan, cea, AFP & ca 19-9. Why? No history of ca, hep or cirrhosis.
