It may: This really depends on your imaging (mri/ct) scan. If your neurological problems are arising from a spondylisthesis or foramenal stenosis, then performing an interbody fusion and increasing the height of the disc space (increasing foramenal space) and reducing the slip may improve your compression and therefore your symptoms.
