Dangerous: Dangerous to take medication during pregnancy without clearing it with your obgyn. Ibuprofen is classified as "pregnancy risk." dangerous to not treat an infected tooth. Pain killers don't cure infection, just mask symptoms. If a tooth hurts, the infection is pretty far along. As soon as you put the phone down after calling your obgyn, pick it back up and call your dentist.
