? arthritis: In older patient associated degenerative changes are not unusual and may be responsible for continued pain post arthroscopy. Persistence of labral tears on MRI may be reflective of previous treatment, as labrum rarely has entirely normal appearance on repeat MRI post surgery especially if previous treatment involved debridement as apposed to repair. Attempted repair also may have not healed.
