Depends: Orthodontic treatment time varies greatly. It depends upon the severity of the problem, the age of the patient, the chief complaint(s) and how ideal you want the result to be. In addition to the known variables, add the fact that each individual has a biological response that will vary. Finally, the skill of the orthodontist can have a dramatic effect upon the length of treatment. Good luck!

Ask ortho: The duration of treatment is based on a number of factors including the difficulty of the correction, the amount of tooth movement, what type of orthodontic biomechanics are required, and what types of appliances and devices are needed. Ask your orthodontic specialist to assess your needs and provide an estimated treatment time.

Depends: Depends on the severity of your malocclusion, the skill of your treating Dentist (hopefully you are seeing a qualified Orthodontic Specialist), and your level of cooperation. Ask your Orthodontist for a time estimate to resolve your problem set...no two malocclusions are exactly alike.
