No, but yes!: Braces can't make your teeth longer. Tooth length is determined mostly by genetics. Braces can, however, move teeth so that more (or less!) of the 'crown' is exposed from under the gums. Sometimes, the bite relationship "buries" the tooth under excess gums. The gums can be re contoured painlessly (like shaping your cuticles to make fingernails 'look' longer) with a laser. Ask your dentist!

Yes: As the teeth erupt more, the tooth is exposed from the gum. The tooth's length is the tooth's length...It is simply becoming more visible to your eye!
