That is a ?: You have to discuss with your orthodontist. If they take them off too early they will just move right back to where they were and you will have to start all over again with braces.

How much longer? : That depends in what still needs to be accomplished. In the latter stages of treatment you probably will not notice much change because it is happening below the gum line. Malocclusions are like snowflakes, no 2 are alike. Talk to your specialist Orthodontist or treating General Dentist for best description of where you are now and where your need to be and how long that will take.
