Support: Medical braces support joints, backs, necks, etc. that need extra support. Dental braces are stainless steel or ceramic handles on the teeth allowing force to be applied to guide teeth and jaws into better esthetics, function, and stability. Please see a qualified Orthodontic Specialist for more information.

Braces Are: Braces can be divided into fixed, metal and clear and removable "appliances". In fact, orthodontic braces are handles that deliver forces to the teeth that cause the teeth to move. There are advantages and disadvantages to both types, but your orthodontist will use the type. or types that he will think would work best for you.

Braces ; aligners : You will find professional bias based on specialty in answers to your question. Both are techniques that used in the right fashion will produce great results. As a generalist, i like to minimize the need for extractions and love the fact that decay and gum disease is minimized with removable aligners.
