A member asked:

If a man has had genital warts removed from his penis does that mean that he is totally cured of the hpv?

No: Could be, but most likely he can have hpv in the skin and it has not formed a wart yet so he may or may not get future warts.

Maybe: Sometimes, once warts are removed, the body identifies other infected cells and finishes the job. Unfortunately, it is a wait and see. Even if you never see another wart develop, you may still have cells infected with hpv. (there are many strains, not all produce warts.) i would still recommend that you continue to watch for warts or other changes associated with hpv.
