? over treatment: Low thyroid is very common and easy to treat. However the replacement medicine/hormone can get to a higher level in the body than needed and can lead to weight loss. This is usually associated with hunger. You should have thyroid levels checked. If normal then you will need eval for other causes of weight loss ( which are plentiful). You'll need to clarify with dr if you have other symptoms.
