Hypothyroidism gained 80 lbs. in 4 yr span take generic synthroid eat healthy, & exercise why can't i lose the weight? hemoglobin hematocrit mch mchc low and rdw high on labs besides anemia what can cause this? before only hemoglobin & mch only low?

Weight loss in the setting of any metabolic issue, including hypothyroidism, can be VERY difficult. Once your thyroid numbers are normalized, seeing a nutritionist may prove to be very helpful-your doctor can arrange that. As for the anemia, there are different types and you need this diagnosed so you can be treated. You may need to see a hematologist to figure out what type of anemia you have.
