What are some causes of psychosis and how is it treated?

Psychosis: Psychosis may be caused by drug intoxication, it can occur with mood disorders (severe major depression, mania), psychotic disorders (like schizophrenia, shizoaffective disorder, schizophreniform disorder etc) or as the result of physical conditions. It is often treated with atypical antipsychotic medications or neuroleptic medications.
