My daughter misunderstood her perscription and took (2) 875mg caplets of amoxicillian. she received the prescription today from the doctor. should i b?

No worries: Amoxicillin dose is 875mgm twice/day. If she took two at the first dose, she can just skip the second dose today and then from tomorrow take it twice/day. Also make sure she drinks plenty of fluids while she's on it as well as some yogurt or probiotics since it might give her a bit of stomach upset.

Probably ok: The overdose is probably ok. The medicines aren't cut that closely to the harmful level, and a lot may depend on the weight of your daughter. If she can swallow a tablet, i'm guessing she's close to 100lbs. At that age, 1500mg in one dose won't hurt her, but she shouldn't do it again, and might want to call the doc in the morning and discuss what happened, and whether there are any issues at hand.
