Other illness: Problem may be some other cause of illness. Would consider mononucleosis, other viral illness. Blood testing will help.

Should be Better: There are some kids who have a viral infection and strep in their system at the same time.The virus may not respond to the antibiotic. On rare occasions Cefdinir may not work.But before changing medication, you see the pediatrician.
