Possibly: Though there is no specific correlation, there may be a higher incidence of "mental illness" among artists and many individuals with mental illness are very artistic. Many very well known artists have suffered from schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. One example is vangough. The stigma of mental illness leads to reluctance to seek help and leads to vulnerability to suicide.
