Had you eaten?: If you had eaten before the test was drawn, that may account for the elevated triglyceride level. We usually have people fast for 8 hours before drawing blood for a cholesterol profile. Now if you were fasting, the triglyceride level is elevated and you should talk to your doctor. Weight loss, exercise, a decrease in alcohol may help. Good luck.
