Would azo cause a negative UTI result? Took a UTI test Wednesday at the doctor. High nitrate levels. Negative lab culture came back today.
Tested positive on leukocytes in my urine with Azo urine test, but at the doctors the culture came back negative. But I don't understand how my urine ?
I took @ home AZO urine strip TEST showed hint of purple on leukocyte and neg.on nitrite. Do I need Doc or am I ok. And could it be BV or YI back pain?
Doctor sent urine sample to lab and all came back neg except blood said Small, mucous said moderate, and bacteria said few. Is this something to worry about? and should I get repeat urine test again.? Had routine blood done all was normal?
Can AZO cause a false positive nitrite urine test? According to my doctor, NO, she says it only causes false positive glucose. Is that accurate?
