Personality: Thorough clinical evaluation by a psychiatrist/mental health professional for tentative diagnosis, along with psychological testing for personality profile to confirm the diagnosis. This depends on how soon the psychological testing is done & the report provided.

Depends: The signs and symptoms of personality disorders can be very similar to other psychiatric disorders. Many can tell within a session or two but it truly depends on your symptoms. That being said, personality disorders can masquerade as other mental health dxs or be concurrent with other disorders, complicating the diagnosis and timeline.
