Depends: On why they are loose. If they are loose from gum disease or trauma it probably won't help and you will need some professional guidance. If you recently finished your orthodontic treatment it will take some time for everything to settle and tighten up. If that is the case you should still be wearing your retainers the majority of the time. Best of luck to you!

The purpose of: A retainer is simply to retain teeth at a given position. With that said there are a host of retainers - active, passive, spring. .. All of which serve a different purpose - some to move teeth, others to hold teeth at a given position. It is imperative that retainers be worm as indicated by your dentist. Retainers can need adjustments. Best to see your dentist.

Depends: Loose teeth can be loose due to recent braces removal, trauma, or bone loss secondary to periodontal disease. You should see your orthodontist for a consult and possible referral to another specialist.

See a dentist: You should not have 'loose' teeth at your age-- regardless of your retainer. I would see a dentist asap.

Depends: If your retainer is still functional then it is helpful.
