A hairline fracture : Could have happened from repeated stress of his forearm while wrestling. The area directly over it may be very tender when touched. There may be some swelling or numbness. Pain increases with use & decreases with rest. Let his pediatrician examine him & refer to an orthopedist if needed. Tell his coach so that your son can't balk at stopping his sport till you know what's going on.
