Elbow fat pad : In certain injuries to the elbow , one incurs bruising of the bone . When that occurs it displaces some of the joint fluid and in addition to some extra bleeding in the joint , which shows a certain Lucent area on the X-ray , which is called a positive fat pad sign , t is a mild condition which resolves eventually over a 4-6 week period of time .
