A member asked:

How long can a boy diagnosed with hypotonia and epilepsy live?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Long healthy life: Both diagnoses are not life threatening. Hypotonia is common and easily managed. Epilepsy is common and easily managed in most cases. The major issue is cause and the risks of feeding and breathing problems. In some cases the cause may be a terrible disease that may lead to death. However, for most cases the cause is unclear or a static disorder that needs appropriate long term management.
