Think Math: At 181, your current maintenance required calories is about 12 calories per pound or 2170 cal per day. Try to limit your daily calorie input to 1200 cal per day. That is a reduction of almost 1000 cal per day. 3500 cal = 1 pound. So, you might expect to lose a pound every 3 1/2 days (about 8 pounds a month). So, be patient, be committed. Have a plan to do this for about 4 months to reach goal.
