Until it is cut: Usually, hair tests are not done for suboxone, in fact, i've never heard of anyone having a hair test for that. But, if one was looking for Suboxone in hair, i would think that being off Suboxone for two weeks (depending on the dose) and then having all your hair cut off would then result in the new growth hair having undetectable levels of suboxone.

Months : Buprenorphine can be detected in human hair for up to 2 months and probably longer (p. Kintz et al, journal of forensic sci, 1994). Does not have much application in clinical practice. The bup hair concentration may have a dose response relationship which could potentially aid in addressing diversion.
