See an orthopedist: Or a hand surgeon. These can be managed quite successfully. Find a good doctor and have this resolved. Good luck.

Hand specialist: In my experience, ganglion cysts are easily treated and controlled, and would get to hand surgeon, and get it addressed. Not a major problem if handled by an expert.

Depends: Anti-inflammatories and rest can help. If she is determined to remain competitive then definitive removal is the best option. She will be on light duty for a short period of time but then can return to competition when cleared by her doctor.
