Perhaps: Rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease refers to what we call a pancarditis. That means that the entire heart is playing in this condition. That's why we take strep infection so seriously. And yes i left bundle branch block can occur but is not the most common occurrence when someone has rheumatic heart disease or rheumatic fever.
