No: Some antibiotics, namely tetracyclines can interfere with oral contraception. Bottom line- ask your doctor.

Innate immunity: Your skin barrier, providing it is healthy, is an innate immunity that our body possesses to protect against foreign invaders. It is commonly referred to as the skin barrier. But if this barrier is unhealthy- split, bleeding, cracking, flaking, red, draining- it is no longer effective against foreign invaders.
A 18-year-old female asked:

Chapping, infection: In the winter excessive lip licking or moisture causes chapping in cold dry air. The vermillion border between the lips and the face is commonly where these problems are noticed. Many infections or immune disorders may cause fissuring of the lips, and if not better after lip balm, or if feverish should contact your doctor. May be scarlet fever, herpes or other infection.
