Fever under one year: Fever in a child this age is a clear indication for a visit to a pediatrician. Although teething is said to be able to create fever you never want to make assumptions that if incorrect can hurt your baby. Please go and see somebody soon. Hope the baby is better quickly.

Fever: The usual cause of fever in 1 year old is virus. Teething will not cause fever. As your child has reached 1st birthday I would recommend calling his/her Pediatrician to assess fever, and also calling a Pediatric Dental Specialist, a Pedodontist, for initial Dental Examination (teething, dento-facial growth/development, fluoride, oral hygiene, bottle syndrome, baseline, etc)
