Not uncommon: Sinus irritation with clear drainage is less likely to be bacterial, but could be viral or allergic. Antibiotics are not usually indicated in this case unless the symptoms include fever or persist longer than one week. Anti-inflamitories and antihistamines are often helpful along with saline nasal sprays and plenty of hydration.

Allergy: I'm not sure what you mean by your sinuses are clear... If you mean there is no nasal stuffiness but your sinuses sting... May be an allergy or irritation but has not progressed to a sinus infection. Saline nasal spray or an over the counter antihistamine may be helpful.. Zyrtec. Symptoms with a sinus infection: pressure/pain; tooth pain; throat & ear pain; fatigue; headache; nasal discharge..
