How long does it take to recover after treatment for a corneal ulcer?

Rapidly mostly: Corneal ulcers detected in a timely manner respond rapidly to treatment with no residual effects. However if the ulcer is in the center of the cornea, the residual scar might leave some visual distortion.

Depends: Treatment for an ulcer is complete when the corneal epithelium (surface cells) cover over the ulceration and the infection is resolved. Frequently the degree of infection and ulceration dictates the timeframe. I would expect to be treated a minimum of 7-10 days, and out of contact lenses for 2 weeks.
