IBD: Two inflammatory disorders of unknown cause affecting intestinal tract are crohn disease and ulcerative colitis.They share many common features and are collectively known as 'inflammatory bowel disease' both are chronic, relapsing inflammatory disorders of obscure origin. Fat/vitamin malabsorption are common in crohn disease. Malignant potential are present in both.In crohn response to surgery good.
