A member asked:

Yesterday i was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer, how long does it take to heal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually rapidly: Corneal ulcer, an infected spot on the cornea, is treated with antibiotics which penetrate directly into the infected spot. Response is rapid and most heal by 2-4 days. However, if the ulcer is near the center (fixation) there may be long term changes in the vision. Ask your ophthalmologist what you prognosis is for this possibility.
