Treatment not Meds : Venous leg ulcers usually require external compression with special wraps (jobst stockings) , and leg elevation, possibly with water pills. The mechanical elevation and support is the mainstay of treatment.

Compression; tests: Agree w recommended compression. If available, suggest venous ultrasound WITH REFLUX STUDIES. This may well show abnormal flow in veins that can be treated in Dr office with minimally invasive procedure under local anesthesia, very low risk, and high likelihood of lasting improvement. Easily available in Chicago (any Vascular Surgeon), and probably in many places in India. Hope this helps.
