Intraoral changes: All intraoral changes (tongue lesions) should be examined by a primary doctor and possibility a specialist (ent surgeon). Most intraoral cancers are in older patients who have multiple risk factors (ie smoking, chewing tobacco or history of head and neck radiation). In your age group , a cancerous lesion is unlikely but still needs a proper exam and history by your physician.
