Hi. high risk exposure on 7/19, on pep at 48 hours. 4th gen negative at base, 1 day post pep & 20 days post pep. follow up next week. red throat with grey spot 2 weeks in and still there, getting worse. recent headaches possible delayed symptoms?

PEP does have the potential to delay seroconversion. As PEP works similar to medication used to manage HIV, PEP if unsuccessful can delay seroconversion. This is why testing a minimum of 4 weeks after PEP is required. Your last test at 20 days post PEP was a little too soon. Please continue to follow with your doctor. Good luck.
