Depends on procedure: Before every dental procedure in my office, we provide a consent form that explains our procedures and what the possible complications are possible. Typically, these adverse complications do not occur, but it is very important for me to make sure that my patients understand that any and every dental or medical procedure has benefits and complications associated with them. Always ask.

Depends: That's a very general question. All medical/dental procedures can have unintended complications. It depends on the procedure, the skill of the dental team, and your cooperation. Complications in dentistry are rare. Most common = soreness in the area, a little swelling or bleeding, slight soreness at the injection site, teeth which are sensitive for a while, and perhaps a bite which feels odd.
