Generally: No if you notify your surgeon upfront as we need to know all drugs a patient is on.

Its possible: Methadone will potentiate the effects of general anesthesia and will increase the risk of respiratory depression after anesthesia surgery.

No: A baseline dose of Methadone will not have any adverse reactions with general anesthesia. However, you will need relatively more pain medication after the operation than someone who is not on methadone.
