Increased Heart Risk: Over time, childhood obesity can be related to development Insulin resistance, elevated triglyceride, increased blood sugar, high blood pressure, and a high number of LDL particles (high ldl-p) despite minimally abnormal LDL cholesterol. Low levels of HDL are also common. Collectively, many of these factor place the person at increased risk for premature heart attack and stroke.
