Fugal infection: White coverage on the dorsal of the tongue can occur from several things. The most common reason is a build up of dead skin cells that happens from not brushing your tongue. The next most common white appearance is a fungal infection. This is very common on people with removable appliances too. Some oral cancers can show up as white spots too. Go see a dentist!
