Yes: You can be allergic to almost anything, except maybe water. So if there is an ingredient in the face cream to which you are allergic it could make your tongue, or even your whole face swell. If you are having any trouble speaking or breathing, you need to go to emergency; otherwise, most mild allergic responses go away overnight. You could take a little Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Don't use that cream again!
