A member asked:

My sister aged 45, diabetic, diagnosed as'severe cts sensorimotor demyelinaing'. please explain, what it is and the remedy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible Neuropathy: If the problem is just limited to the median nerve (cts) then the cts is likely moderate in severity. However, if there is involvement of the ulnar nerves and/or feet then this picture may represent the neurologic complications of diabetes. The remedy is quite different depending on the cause. If moderate cts then a surgical consult is warranted. If due to dm then need further eval for control.
