my father has 49% lung function due to congestive heart failure. he is 72 and diabetic. what can be predicted about his quality of life and care need?

Ok if self control: Needs to control fluid intake within 1500 ml = 50 ounces total per 24 hours including all types of fluids even those included in food moisture e.g. Stew. Also, salt restriction under 2000 mg salt per day. Salt rich food include bread & rolls, cured & processed meat, pizza, pickles, chips, fast food. If did that and took his meds, will do fine. Daily weights are big, call doc if off 6 lbs either way.
