Depends: It is hard to say depending on how well control his diabetes, what type of lung cancer ( there's two major types of lung cancer: small cell and non-small cell) and how serious of heart attack. You should speak to his oncologist.

Hard to say: There are factors that would affect his life expectancy -recent heart attack and st 2 lung cancer. Ii dont know the severity of his heart attack. If there is no significant condition, the treatment for his lung cancer would be either. Curative surgery or curative radiation therapy if surgery can't be done. The fact that no therapy is offered is likely due to his heart attck d/w is md in detail.

No treatment : Offered? Stage 2 lung ca has rx even with recent heart attack and dm. Needs cardiac evaluation whether coronary lesion needs stent or cab and the status of heart muscle and performance. Diabetes has rx as well. Stage 2 lung ca may need preop chemo-radiation depending upon the anatomic abnormality. Not knowing many data, I am still puzzled by "no treatment ..." . Another opinion is in order.

He should be treated: For his lung cancer. He should also be on medications for his diabetes and heart disease. Needs a second opinion.
