Constipation: May not simply be constipation. May be early bowel obstruction. Many times after abdominal and pelvic surgery a patient can develope scar tissue called adhesions. These strands of scar tissue can attach to bowel wall and cause obstruction. Pain constipation common sx. May want to call your doctor and possibly get checked in emergency department.
