Best taken separate: Amino acids compete for absorption with one another. Thus, if you take them at the same time as whey protein they will be somewhat less well-absorbed than if taken separately. I would advise taking them at least one hour apart from each other, but it probably doesn't matter which you take first. I advise whey from grass-fed cows processed at low temperature for maximum benefit.
