A member asked:

Is there any interaction between isolate whey protein and klonopin (clonazepam)? i'm asking because protein contains amino acids and i suppose its not a good mix with klonopin (clonazepam).

Protein binding: We mostly have information on protein binding of Clonazepam (klonopin) in the context of organ failure compared to normal. Any Amino Acid you eat, or any protein is usually well regulated by liver and kidneys and likely has little impact on its metabolism as a drug unless you have organ failure and altered protein metabolism.

No interaction: Yes, whey protein contains Amino Acids -- and so does the meat and other protein you eat at mealtime. There's no interaction between this and klonopin (clonazepam). However, the "herbal medications" mentioned on your medication list could create some. Since you don't specifically identify these, it's hard to know.

Klonopin (clonazepam): If physically healthy, no significant adverse interactions.
