Safe drugs: You need to see your primary doc for the safest drug for high blood pressure, we do not know what type of sexual problems you are having taking enalapril. What is the cause of these symptoms. Are they related to Enalapril or to hypertension, do you diabetes or peripheral vascular disease. Do you have erectile dysfunction syndrome or is it psychological sexual problems. We dont know, hence see doc.

They are all safe.: When used properly. Enalapril is not commonly associated with sexual dysfunction. You may have another problem. Should consider switching to another med anyway. Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) 12.5 plus a low dose med in the acei or arb class might be reasonable. If your sexual problem persists it will need better definition.

Ca++ channel blocker: Calcium channel blockers are your safest group of blood pressure medications, and while they may not typically cause sexual dysfunction in men, they can, especially when combined with a diuretic hctz (hydrochlorothiazide).. You might consider asking your physician to switch you to a class known as the arbs or the angiotensin receptor blockers, which are less likely to cause sexual side effects.

All drugs have issue: Hydrochlorothiazide diuretics are fairly safe, how you respond is variable. Discuss with your doctor and find the right combination with a little trial and error.
