4 disorders: An pelvic ultrasound may show 1)a pregnancy that is in the wrong place (ectopic) or that is miscarrying, 2) fibroids (benign growths coming from the wall of the uterus, 3) a thickened lining of the uterine cavity from a polyp or overgrowth of the endometrial cells, 4)ovarian cysts or masses and 5) adenomyosis.

Pelvic US can...: Pelvic ultrasound can help diagnose causes of uterine bleeding such as: endometrial polyp, endometrial thinning or thickening, and uterine fibroids among other etiologies.
