The "cyst" on the cervix will not cause the bleeding. If the switch in birth control was to oral bcp's, themost common cause of persistent bleeding is not taking the active pills at the same hour each day. I you are on low dose bcp's, stop, wait five days, and then pay attention to punctuality. There are other causes of bleeding (cervicitis, endometrial polyps) which should be investigated.
