I have had irregular bleeding now for five months heavy intravaginal ultrasound blood in cul da sac. pain on rgt side and pelvic pain going down leg?

Endometrial bx: Any abnormal bldg should be investigated. A thorough history and physical exam, especially a pelvi exam should be done. I would also suggest an endometrial biopsy, and a vaginal ultrasound. Depending the above findings, an iud, birth control pills, laparoscopy, ablation of the lining of the uterus or a hysterectomy may be indicated. Discuss this with your dr.

Possibilities: Could be fibroids, (which would show up on the transvaginal sono) they wouldn't cause the blood in the cul de sac, but could cause pain, and heavy bleeding. Could be adenomyosis or endometriosis, which would not show up on the sonogram. Both can cause pain and bleeding. Endometrial polyps could cause the bleeding. The.
